About

I have been building web sites for the last 14 years and working, playing with and using technology from BBS networks to the web to modern social networking sites for the last 23 years.

From 1995 to 2001, I worked for a small computer hardware and software company called ElectroMagnetic Solutions. My primary tasks were web development and managing customer accounts to help match them with the best hardware, software and tools to make technology and the web work best for them. In my work since they I have carried on and applied this concept of customized services for each individual and each individual's needs.

From 1987 to 1994 I was the manager (sysop) of a successful local BBS network, PeaceFrog BBS. I have watched social networking grow from it's early beginnings to mainstream communication that connects people worldwide.

In addition to my work as a web designer, I am a midwife and successful business owner of an online Midwifery Education Program. Running a distance education program and using social networking to connect my work and business to the larger community gives me a special insight into the difference between what a business or individual CAN do on the web and what they NEED to do to make it work for them. Form and function that allow you to be in control of your content and get information to the right population quickly is key.
